Those who served in the military and who find themselves disabled may qualify for benefits from the Veterans Administration, whether that disability is service related or not. Injury.co.com proudly represents those who served our country and helps them obtain the benefits they deserve.
To qualify for Veterans Administration (VA) benefits, you must have,
- Been on active service, and
- Received a discharge under conditions other than dishonorable.
Those meeting these requirements may qualify for specific benefits programs which have their own guidelines. To qualify for Active Military Service benefits, you must have had,
- Full-time service in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force or Coast Guard,
- Service in the Reserve or Air or Army National Guard when activated by the federal government, or
- Been a cadet at a military academy or at the Coast Guard academy.
There may be monthly cash benefits available.
- Service-connected disability compensation requires an illness or injury incurred during military service that caused a disability or aggravated an existing disability. Special monthly compensation is also available for certain severe disabilities.
- You must have limited income and assets, ninety days of service (with at least one day during wartime), total and permanent disability or be age 65 or older to get a VA pension.
